Situated on the southern coast of England, in the historic town of Chichester, lies the homeplace of the Chichester Marina Berth Holders Association.
Chichester Marina Berth Holders Association (CMBHA) was formed at a time when relationships between former owners of the Marina and most berth Holders were far from positive.
Over the years, these relationships have generally improved, and both berth Holders and the management have recognised the benefits of having a representative organisation devoted to enhancing the experience of keeping a boat in Chichester Marina.
Affiliated to the RYA, the CMBHA has around 500 members, and takes up issues with management such as security, the use of the lock, toilet and shower facilities and the general amenities of the Marina. We have a team of Jetty Representatives, and a Committee which meets about six times a year.
From time to time we invite eminent speakers to provide information about owning and using a boat. Recent contributors to our annual lecture following the Association's AGM have included a Watch Officer from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and a director of a major marine insurance firm.
The most important thing that should be mentioned however is that we here at CMBHA are made up of people just like you. We love nothing more than enjoying ourselves on the open sea and we never forget why it is we got into sailing in the first place.
It is this commitment to our passion that makes CMBHA work and through joining our ranks, you can help mould the Marina into somewhere you can spend more of you leisure time.
See you on the jetty!
